Welcome to Health Promotion!
Welcome to my blog...Health Promotion. Health Promotion is basically my life, my job, and what I am in school to learn more about! I hope that this enriches your life in some way, or that you just find it interesting. The goal of this blog is to inform, educate and help encourage ideas about developing healthy lifestyle behaviors for all people. I want everyone, especially kids, to be able to avoid morbidity by teaching them how to incorporate and establish a healthy way of life.

Hey KC! First of all I want to say that I totally agree with you whenever you say that Greenbrier County is a beautiful area. That is my home county. I am from Lewisburg and I went to EGMS (well...it was a junior high whenever I went)!! I am going to enjoy reading you blog about living a healhy life style and your promotion of health. I feel that that is so important! :)
ReplyDeleteHey! Looks good. Here's my question: what is the best way to get rid of post-baby weight around the middle without doing 1000s and 1000s of crunches? :-) I've been trying to exercise more, but I don't think I'll ever eat really healthy. I like ice cream and cookies too much.
ReplyDeleteHey thanks! I think as women that "pooch" is a chronic nightmare and it is difficult to get rid of. Eating better will help (i.e. portion control, healthier choices-fruits,veggies, whole grains, etc.), but we all know this already...and yet those cookies taste sooo good! haha Now I have not been blessed with having kids yet, but when I attempt to work that tummy area I try to find something that's fun for me. For example when your child was old enough to hold on to your legs could could do leg lifts with them holding on. Lay on your back, put your hands under the couch (or something heavy that will not move or tip over) keep your legs straight and together and lift them straight up and down (without hitting the ground on the way down). You can even go slightly to the right and left. Your child will have a ball (it would be like a ride at the fair). Until then you could just use light leg weights or your own body. Do 10 each direction and build up the repetitions each time. :) You can do it!
ReplyDeleteCasey, one suggestion as your instructor; increase the font size or change the font, this is very difficult to read and does not align with the rules of instructional design.
ReplyDeleteHey Casey!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I'm a pretty active person, but I could totally use some ideas to have a healthier lifestyle! :) Your Blog looks good.. well done!
Hey, Nice blog. I try to live a healthy lifestyle but eating unhealthy is so much more fun. Maybe your blog will help me back onto the wagon.
